The outputs to be derived from the Agadir Symposium include the following:
- Material that will result in a clearer understanding of the values and services of water-related ecosystems, including coastal areas, for decision-makers, especially in sectors related to water management, territorial planning and socio-economic development.
- New perspectives in wetland conservation and management integrated with other sectors such as water, culture, social and economic planning.
- Increased networking and cooperation among experts and stakeholders from many countries involved with wetlands, water, coastal zones, biodiversity and other related sectors.
- Guidance for the next 20 years of MedWet taking into account the new status of Mediterranean wetlands and acting catalytically to ensure the optimal use of their values and services.
